Common Modifications of the Dive Rite Nomad

This is a photo of the front of my rig that shows the new chest strap. The stock strap kept getting looser on dives so I replaced it with static cord and a bolt snap. It also provides additional room for clothespins.

These photos show the way I have the wing attached to the waist strap. Locking the wing attachment to the waist strap keeps the wing from moving around and bulbing up.

It’s important to take the tabs on top of the wing and lock them in place on the shoulder straps. This keeps the top of the wing from sliding down and bunching up, in turn trapping air.

These photos show the dump valve modification. so the pull string stays in place.

This is the bungee loop system I’m currently using. It cinches the cylinder valves up much closer to my torso. I’m considering modifying this even further.
